H.S. To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Copy to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Gx. Referring to former correspondence and discussions relative to the introduction of the improved type of bonnet lock at the extra cost of approximately 25/- per chassis, we have discussed this matter and have come to the conclusion that bonnet locks can be deleted from standard as soon/as present stocks are exhausted. It will lead us into applications from certain customers for their inclusion but these can always be dealt with individually. I should be glad of information as to when stocks will be exhausted so that the departments concerned can be notified. I am returning the Standardisation Sheet for the improved type of bonnet lock duly signed, and although it struck me as being very complicated and liable to rattle, I presume that every one who has seen and tried it is convinced that it is an improvement. Such being the case it will presumably have to be this type that is used after present stocks are exhausted for those cases where customers wish to have it as an extra. Sg.{Arthur F.
