Dear Sirs,

Re: Short Wheelbase Bentley - 1-B-5.
-------

We wish to confirm remarks made to you during our visit to your Works on Wednesday last, concerning the body for the above chassis.

We were pleased to learn that you had experienced no serious difficulty in adapting the body base to the revised frame, whilst still leaving it capable of being fitted to the original frame.

We agree that we should settle finally the sweep-in in the plan of the front wings when they are roughed out and mounted on the dummy chassis.

We confirm that you will provide for wind screen defrosting, by incorporating a pipe connection of 1.250 inches diameter to the box section rail at the base of the screen which will act as a transverse air duct. The connection should be on the passenger's or nearside of the car. Air will be delivered to three slots about 2.500 x .375 in the screen rail capping through ducts in wood blocks which form the packing.

The screen capping should have shields to deflect the air on to the screen.

We confirm also that we shall fit a 'Motorola' Wireless set in a position approximately central on the back of the dash, as the heater for the car and defroster will be on the nearside. We shall supply the set and fit it, but we shall let you have the controls for building into the instrument board. Shortly we shall be able to supply you with a drawing of the dashboard fittings, and a sketch of the proposed instrument
