W/S - Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} X508 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/KW.3.1.36. Petrol Consumption - 20/25. Replying to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}1/KW.31.12.35. The X.C.3 needle cannot be fitted to one of the old type carburetter without them being returned to the Works for complete modification as is indicated in the Depot Sheet to which you refer. Some of theoriginal carburetters may possibly have given petrol consumptions of between 12 and 13 m.p.g., others of course might have been quite good, say 15 m.p.g. With the modified carburetters and the X.C.3 needles, we should not expect consumptions appreciably worse than 16 m.p.g. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
