Herewith details of cylinder wear taken at R.10 and R.20 at K.{Mr Kilner} during the month of August, together with details of the replacement cylinder block used when a regrind was necessary. You will notice that your efforts in persuading W. to leave the regrinding at my discretion has certainly borne fruit, in that, for the month of July, there were seven replacements, whereas for the month of August one. If you check through the measurements, you will find that we should have exceeded the July figure if the old .005" maximum allowable wear figure had been adhered to. K/KC. Encl: | ||
