Chassis Dynamos.

Referring to report HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.21.3.34, and the question of dynamo output generally, the SpectreCodename for Phantom III dynamo has been spigot mounted from the wheelcase so that air can circulate all around the carcase of the machine.

Furthermore, due to the useof a radiator grille in place of shutters, the under bonnet temperature should be considerably lower on this chassis, and we may also introduce some cooling air which does not pass through the radiator matrix.

We can, therefore, anticipate better conditions for dynamo cooling on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III, and we also propose to try out internal cooling for the dynamo which requires a low air temperature for its full effect.

It may be that the general temperature will be sufficient for this purpose, but by adding further complication it would be possible to supply the dynamo independently with its own stream of cooling air.
