Dear Mr.Pierson,

Thank you very much for your letter of the 20th.inst. reference DLE/EMS referring to our wind tunnel tests on model cars.

We were very glad to have your remarks as they entirely confirm the conclusions we have come to after reading several articles on wind tunnel experience.

As far as we can see, it is only possible to use the wind tunnel to test models of cars all having a similar air flow.

We have tried the actual car with undersheets on and off, and found that the effect in the drag is very small, but we have not so far tried the effect of cooling flow, leaks, excrescences &c.

If we may, we would very much like to have a word with you again, after we have got some more experience with the car.

Yours sincerely,

H.I.F.Evernden.
