We hope you will be able to fix up
with Mr. Macintosh to borrow the Lincoln car.
As you know we want to run it on 6 cylinders;
obviously we should tell them this. If we
do any damage, we shall have to be prepared
to pay for it. Short of buying a 12-cylinder
car, this is the only way of getting the information
required at the present moment for the SpectreCodename for Phantom III
design.

We lent Mr.Smith, their works director
at Dagenham, our open Bentley car for the week-end,
and therefore we do not think you will have any
difficulty in borrowing the Lincoln. If they
agree, we should like to come down and personally
observe the test.
