RE. PERFECT CIRCLE SCRAPER RINGS. X741

We are sending you herewith correspondence from Messrs. R.{Sir Henry Royce} A.{Mr Adams} Rothermel Ltd., together with a description and sample of the perfect circle scraper ring which they are offering.

Mr. Royce would like you to obtain 2 sets of these and try them out on any engine which you think would afford the best test of their supposed qualities in keeping down excess of oil. It might be wise to make a trial on both car and aero engines.

Perhaps you would kindly communicate with Messrs. R.{Sir Henry Royce} A.{Mr Adams} Rothermel Ltd. accordingly.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
