Suggestion to use four instead of three conductors from the dynamo to better regulate battery charging.

This would mean bringing four instead of three conductors from the dynamo.

It is not suggested that such an arrangement would dispose of the question of overcharging of batteries in summer, but the daylight charge would be lower than our present normal, and so ameliorate this condition.

The general object of this suggestion however is to try and arrange the charging so that it naturally accommodates itself more to the difference between summer and winter conditions, and between all day and all night driving without the use of purely automatic control.
