Bottom Note:
NOTE.--We have arranged with the Admiralty that if we find it necessary to make any alterations and we propose to make them, the engines will only be accepted on the understanding that any subsequent troubles, if any, will be paid for by Rolls-Royce. We will have to pay for the cost of them and the Admiralty will only make a claim if the subsequent troubles are serious so that we may learn early what will be the cost of them and we ascertain whether the Admiralty will have to pay.
