You will doubtless remember that he complained very bitterly about the body on his 3 1/2-litre Bentley and we supplied him with the first of the all-steel bodies. I thought you would be interested to see the following extract from a letter I have received from him: 'I have now done three thousand miles with the new car and I am very pleased indeed with the body. I have had no trouble at all with the exception of the indicators which I understand and can well appreciate to be an almost unsolvable problem on a fast car. The body is still absolutely silent and to my mind is a very perfect design. One thing that is most noticeable about it is the lack of wind noises even when going at very high speeds.
