Turning the device makes slight variations in the direction and density of liquid discharge. We did a certain amount of running in several of the above experiments with a standard induction pipe fitted to the blower. We could not, however distinguish very clearly what gave the best distribution by this means and we think this is best done on an engine. When tested on an engine, the above device should be rotated to find the best position.

One incidental point was worthy of note in the tests with the induction pipe fitted, namely that at the rear portion of the rear ports there was an actual suction instead of a delivery, caused no doubt by the sharp convex bend from the main pipe which the momentum of the gas prevents it from following.
