-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}1/KT.26.9.33. The general outlay of the modified casting as in Lec.3635 is agreed to, and the breather holes in the pump bodies be reduced to .062". It seems that the noise created by the rocker striking the bakelite base plate will be overcome by the modification in DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}404. where two studs are fitted to give support to the present unsupported portion of the base plate. With regard to the misalignment of contact points, they did not realise that these were being sent out in this condition, and will see that in future they are set. At present there are six screws which hold each pump to the casting, and it was suggested that they try and fit at least another two to each pump, and so make a better joint between the casting, diaphragm, and pump flange. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} is making the necessary modifications to valve seatings etc. so that we can supply the S.U. Co. with components the same as we require them to make them. It would be as well to make enough parts for three twin pumps, so that the car GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} is taking to France can be fitted with the new type.
