W/Paris - Sr. V1583 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW.24.5.34. Referring to your Sr/EWP{Mr Punt}8/MLG. 22.5.34. There is no objection to using Castrol XXL oil in the Bentley during the Summer time. The danger of using this oil is that it will not be changed in the Winter. There is no doubt that if this heavy oil is left in the crankcase there will be great difficulty in starting as soon as cold weather is encountered.
