Edwards}1/CH.13.3.40. re CHASSIS 96 K.T. Mr. Martin Hurst was recently in communication with Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} on the subject of fitting a thermostat to the above car. He was, however, dissuaded, on the excuse that the job would take too long, but he now informs us that he has recently thrown a rod, and considers that it would be possible to carry out the necessary modifications. To effect the alteration it will be necessary to fit the following parts:- EB.3461 Water pump cover 1 off. E.86471 Union 1 off. E.27491 Washer 1 off. EB.3524 Water pipe, thermostat to pump 1 off. Complete "M" series thermostat and casing 1 off. EB.607 Inlet Bend 1 off. EB.2080 Cotton connection 1 off. We are sending you the "M" series thermostat and casing assembly complete, but we do not appear to have any of the other parts in stock. We should be very glad to know, therefore, whether you are in a position to supply them. The top water connection could probably be made up from existing parts by merely shortening the intermediate copper pipe, or if simpler, replacing together by rubber tube. - continued - | ||
