Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 8th instant, and note that Mr. Clapham is able to call here on Thursday or Friday next week. We shall be very pleased to see him either day, and therefore, unless we hear to the contrary, we will expect him about 10 a.m. on Thursday next, the 16th instant. For your information we have been running Spauldiite material, and during the course of the last two weeks it has shown certain variations. It commenced with a comparatively high µ, which fell rapidly, and remained at a much lower figure during the period the wax finish was effective. This finish has now partly disappeared, and µ is consequently rising again. The general appearance of the material is what one would expect to see attained by samples which have been in use on an actual spring, particularly at the ends of the leaves. Yours faithfully, FERODO LIMITED. W.E.Shilton Manager. Technical Department. | ||
