Many thanks for the loan of this car. I am sorry about the damage to the body, but while endeavouring to close the driver's window the last few inches, the door opened at about 80 m.p.h. swinging back against the rear wing.

The surprising thing about this is that the inside door handle was in the locked position when it happened.

You probably do not want any remarks other than criticisms, so the following are a few points noted:-

(1) When starting out after the car had been out in the rain, water poured in at both front corners of the sun-shine roof.

(2) The slow running is not good and there is a marked tendency for the engine to stop when letting in the clutch.

(3) The propellor shaft becomes very rough at speeds above about 75 m.p.h.

(4) In spite of the steering being commendably light for shunting, it is noticeably heavy on corners, and also when having to hold it against the camber.

Has the car got undue pivot lean ?
