X9770 To C. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG16. 6. 25. DUMMY CHASSIS WITH SPORTS BODY. X9770/X9250 We have received the wire as follows :- " HIVES KINDLY SEE DUMMY SPORTS CAR HAS 'W' SERIES RADIATOR AND DASH - HOLHEAD". The dashboard on the dummy car has the same dimensions as proposed for 'W' series. The height of the radiator and the slope of the bonnet is the same. The chief difference is the fact that on the dummy sports car the bonnet is 2" shorter than it is proposed for 'W' series. Also on 'W' series, the sides of the radiator will slope to match up with the slope on the side of the bonnet. This is the practice we have adopted on the 20 HP. These slight variations do alter the dimensions but we do not think they will be noticeable. It would take some considerable time to alter a dummy chassis to make it identical to a 'W' series. As explained to Mr. Honeyman on the 'phone, we propose despatching the dummy chassis fitted with a sports body as it is. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
