MR. ROYCE'S CAR NO. 18-EX.

EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/19-11-28. The Stephen Grebel lamp will be despatched to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} at W. by Boyrivens - who are the London Agents - by passenger train to-morrow.

The Lucas special stream-line wing lamps will be despatched to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} at W. by Lucas per passenger train to-night.

As regards the headlights, we have been in telephonic communication with Lucas at Birmingham. Apparently they are finding it difficult to cope with the demand for P-100 lamps but, after some argument, we managed to persuade them to take a pair of standard lamps of this type earmarked for another customer and send them to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} This pair of lamps is not yet ready for despatch, but we have an assurance that they will be with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} on Saturday morning at the latest. We will continue to keep in touch with the job.

Lucas told us that the special P-100 lamps originally ordered are unlikely to be ready for about another fortnight. They are going ahead on the assumption that we still want these and presumably they will be used upon another car.

As arranged with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} on the telephone this afternoon, our Morris van will collect the outer trunk from Harrisons Friday morning and will deliver it to Barker's Works, Olaf Street. by noon on Friday so that Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s man may collect it when he accepts the body from Barkers. This will save Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s man trying to find Harrison's Factory himself.
