| 261a 22nd June, 1941. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/ET. Richard SUMMERS, Esq., SHOTTON, CHESTER. Dear Dick, I sent you the following telegram yesterday: CONSIDER BEST METHOD OF DEALING WITH YOUR CAR IS TO SEND IT WITH FITTER TO DERBY WE WILL SUPPLY BITS AND SUPERVISE FITTING OUR AXLE MAN AWAY CAN YOU POSTPONE SENDING CAR UNTIL MONDAY JUNE 30 I am recommending that the best way of dealing with your car is for you to send it to Derby with a reasonably efficient mechanic and we will supply pieces and show your mechanic how to fit them. The labour situation here is such that we are really in a much worse position for tackling a job like this than Hyth Road. However, the name Summers has been associated with Rolls-Royce products for a very long time and we will fix you up somehow. I was sorry we got confused over Hollason's trial of the B.V. I had the car standing here a week doing nothing. Kindest regards to your wife and familt, Yours sincerely, | ||
