We have now fitted a silencer to this car and we are returning it to you today.

In trying this car we notice that it suffers from an engine boom, in fact it appears to have an indication of crankshaft period. However, you will doubtless not let this confuse your tests.

In any case, we are quite satisfied that we suffer less from exhaust booms with the resonance silencer than with the existing standard silencer. You will be able to judge the amount of noise which issues from the fishtail on this car which is the point where we cannot reproduce London conditions.

The only work we have done on the car is to fit the silencer but we suggest that the brakes receive attention.
