RE. STROMBERG CARBURETTER
PH.III & 25/30HP.

We have now had two cases, one on 25/30HP and one on Phantom III of the needle valve seat in the above type carburetter working loose and shutting off the supply of petrol.

This needle seat is screwed down on to a fibre washer in both types of carburetter.

We suggest that some form of locking device should be used for this needle seat, and you may consider that an aluminium washer would be sufficient for this purpose.

In the case of the 25/30HP, this car was in customer's hand, and the needle valve seat screwing out stopped him on the road side. In the case of the PH.III, this occurred with us during the final test of the car in London.
