X4329 Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} C. Mr Booth. C. Mr Lightbown. C. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4329 GOSHAWK 11. REAR SHOCK ABSORBER. Although I very much prefer chill cast phosphor bronze for the plates F.50444/5, Mr Cowgill has pointed out to me the very light section which I had overlooked. In view of this I would like to try the experimental plates in drawn phosphor bronze with the tin as high as possible, which probably means it will be about 6%. Will you kindly arrange to order the sheet for making the experimental parts, and we will fix up definitely after seeing the results as to whether this material is likely to stand sufficiently well.
