Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/SAG.2/ET.8.5.41 - 2 - From what has happened on the two cars in question, it appears that this type of fitting is not strong enough to stand up to the job, and that it will be necessary to use only the fittings having the double slides, similar to LEVERALL Mk.III/6, tubular fittings. I hope that I have made myself clear, but you will appreciate that, in a case like this, it is difficult to describe the trouble. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, P.S. Since dictating this letter, we find that the driving seat of the Ripple is suffering from the same complaint. In this case, however, the seat slides are correctly fitted. Will you please send us the replacement slides for the driver's seats of both these cars. | ||
