A.{Mr Adams} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to eG. " WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} " HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL El/M25.6.31. P. 2. DIAMOND ENGINE MOUNTING REAR FEET. Y7005- We send you herewith LeC. 2923. shewing the above. The rear feet are practically dummies until it is desired to remove the gearbox and then they come into action and support the engine while the tail bearing is out of action. Packing can be inserted between the feet and the rubber pads on the frame to prevent too much drop. Rubber is used on the frame in case the feet strike at any time due to excessive twisting of the chassis on rough ground. The parts shewn on LeC. 2923. can easily be sent over to France and fitted up on the 10,000 mile test car. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} RECEIVED 26 JUN 1931 | ||
