All letters must be addressed to the Company, not to individuals Dear Mr. Robotham, I have not turned my Bentley into the Works as arranged because I have ordered a new Bentley chassis so that I may get a new, and I hope more satisfactory body. It is rather an expensive method but there appears to be no alternative. Delivery of my new chassis is promised for the third week in December, I wonder if you would be kind enough to put in a good word for me to ensure my having all your latest improvements. I am torn in twain regarding a new body, H.J. Mulliner recommend a flexible metal panel Weymann somewhat on the lines of my 25 Rolls body, they claim that a flexible body is essential to withstand Continental touring. The design would look somewhat out of date, the price is high, and delivery is rotten, middle of April. Park, Ward on the other hand have produced an improved saloon, and Mr. Ward assures me that all the weak spots in the old body have been strengthened, and that he has no fear of further troubles, the price is moderate, and delivery middle of January; unfortunately he has not had the new body tested on the Continent. I should be glad to have your advice and to know what you would do in my position. I sent Mr. West 1 dozen washer type plugs which have been specially made for the Bentley, and I think should be ideal, I don't think you will be able to burn them out even at prolonged full throttle.
