He promised to supply a completely modified unit in the course of a few days for our endurance test; this to be followed by further units to bring the wipers on our experimental cars completely up to date. With respect to motor noise on the Lucas wiper, we realise that they are quite good but considered it advisable to emphasise the necessity of silent running at this stage, rather than later on when the units had found there way into customers' hands.
