Phantom III - Oil Strainer.- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}16/AP. 5.4.37. With reference to the above memo, there is no doubt that when the strainers are removed from the engine they are in an unsightly condition, the gauze having become distorted and concertinad. We send you herewith LeC.5665 showing a frame which is sweated inside the existing end pressings to support the gauze. Consideration should be given to making all this in one part so that it can be introduced at a suitable time if it proves a cheaper scheme. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
