31. EX. - PHANTOM III.

GEARBOX.
The Gearbox has remained free from oil leaks with the removal of the oil drain pipe.

GEARBOX UNDER PAN.
We have just got a satisfactory under pan, and cowling of the cross at the front.

GEARBOX SUSPENSION.
The new rear rubber mounting had cut out the excessive vibration of the change speed lever, also the over-run propeller shaft period.

33 GALLON PETROL TANK.
Boomed very bad, bottom seam opened.

QUIET TAPPETS.
We very much suspect the trouble with the failure of the oil supply to the plungers to be due to the disintegration of the small Teclamit filter. We again found the holes in the feed screws blocked up with fine hairs. There is little doubt that these came from the filter material.
