Dear Robotham, I thank you for your letter of the 11th, and I am pleased to be able to advise you that the report given by my Managing Director's chauffeur after his return from Derby was to the effect that the performance of the car was considerably improved and he had no difficulty in proving that it was capable of 90 m.p.h. when the occasion offered. There is no point in going any further than this, since maximum performance is not really what is wanted, but the position is that the demonstration car actually exceeded this, and we were given to understand that the car ordered, as a result of this run, would give an equal performance. Once again I would thank you for your interest in this matter, and I have also conveyed to my Directors your acknowledgment of their New Year greeting.
