With reference to the attached letter,
Bristol's have expressed the wish to try their big end bush in lead bronze, made to our latest specification.

This big end carries almost exactly the same type of load as our main bearings, and, therefore, if there is any variation in the material we use for main bearings, it should be utilised on this bearing.
