HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} C__ to SC. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL. R1/W4.6.31. X6099 CAR DYNAMOS - SERIES WINDING. Referring to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/PGT1/AD2631., it is no use testing this opposed to the main. It was quite wrong to alter the position of the 3rd. brush as this more than neutralised the series turns, but instead you ought to have inserted some resistance in the main exiting circuit pending a slightly finer winding. This could have brought down the peak and then the current at high speeds should have been better maintained by the series winding. Graph Labels: Amps Revs. Graph Key: With series, (but peak corrected by resistance.) Without series. Stamp Text: RECEIVED R.{Sir Henry Royce} 1931 JUN 8 | ||
