| LID{A. J. Lidsey} Please make this test on the Blue car as soon as it comes out of the shop. To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} X240. E/JNR{Charles L. Jenner}/5/HP.20.7.33. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Bentley. The Works have criticised our design of Water Temperature Regulator on the grounds of complication and cost. We have simplified the scheme LeC.3569, but we anticipate that this modification will result in a delayed closing of the top valve, owing to the pressure difference created by the water pump. Before we go over to this scheme we should like you to take our original scheme LeC.3408 and make the top cage which guides the valve stem solid, leaving out the water holes. This will result in the same conditions as the modified design for the experiment. Print attached. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
