C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test. D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis. This is not an alteration in design but alteration in the method of forming the teeth - the same standard gears are used. 7 sets of these gears were fitted to standard production gear boxes - they were not rubbed or ground in. Road Test Report. One box was run for several hours on the dynamometer. There was no sign of any wear on the gears.
