To produce this unit we shall convert one of our B.60's The details instructed are the Crankshaft FE.4843, Camshaft EB.4833 Conn.Rods EB.4847/8. the conn rods are similar to standard with the exception of being .375 longer. Remarks. We anticipate details will be complete by June 16th. Bentley V.Gear Box - All Helical. As stated in HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}6/VS.{J. Vickers}26.4.39 there has been a definite promise made for the completion of the first 3 boxes which is the middle of May, and is definitely stated by HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} that this is to be kept. Remarks. 1st box completed and fitted to 9.B.V. (Overdrive ratio gears). 2nd box all details promised to be completed by mid-day Wednesday 17th. 3rd box all details with the exception of the gear box casting to be completed by Thursday. Gear Box is promised to be completely machine early next week. With regard to the standard ratio gear box this should be cleared up by the middle of June. B.60.Cylinder Head PD.36s Sloping Valves with large throat. PD.378 Valve Mechn. - Code BC.6/3. AG stated that he anticipated completion of all details by the 21st. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swll. to let us know to which unit he would like this fitted. Autolock Shock Dampers SCD.1180 Code BA.55/2. Due to design not being correct the castings have been somewhat delayed, the prints have now been altered and we anticipate completion by the week-end. Remarks. Will Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}let us know to which chassis we are to fit. Front Shock Dampers Alum Casings BA.55/5. Details are instructed 24.3.39 one set is required for fitment to 14.B.V. Continental in connection with 15,000 miles trials. Remarks. LK.{L.
