To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/W.Bell. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}14/KW.12.6.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III I. While this car is in the shop will you please fit No. 4.HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} gearbox. We find that on maximum rebound of the rear springs the hand brake cross rope gets underneath the silencer and that the brakes are then locked on. Will you please try and arrange something to prevent this happening. As regards the gearbox at present in the chassis, will you please build this up as it originally was, and hand it to Walter Bell for further oil drag tests.
