1114 Experimental Department 23rd November 1936. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.10/AP. Messrs Clayton Dwandre Co.Ltd., Titanic Works, LINCOLN For the attention of Mr.Blomley. Dear Sirs, We have received your letter of the 18th inst. ref, LA{L. A. Archer}/FB. for which we thank you, and regret the delay in forwarding the heaters for test as arranged - this is due to the fact that we have been awaiting the Harrison Twin Flow Heater. However, as this has not yet arrived, we are forwarding you the Tropic-Aire and Hadees heaters and the Harrison will follow when we receive same. Attached is a list of fittings etc. which are included with the heaters. We should like you to return the heaters as soon as you have tested them, so that we can use them on cars here. We are including a print (LeC.4207) which shews a typical interior body for our cars, but would point out that a number of details, such as the rising glass in the division, are not shewn, and therefore the space available for a heater or ducting is very much more limited than this drawing would indicate. We are however, considering various arrangements which would be feasible, but have not yet settled how far we are prepared to go with regard to this air conditioning question. PS. The Harrison Heater has now arrived, so we are forwarding all three heaters together. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
