X. 8770 Referring to your visit yesterday, it was agreed that :- (1) The steering column on this car should have a steel trunnion cage in place of the gun metal one. (2) The front wheels should be set parallel instead of toed-in .250. (3) The latest type of petrol tank should be fitted - namely, larger outlet filters, knurled handle on the changeover cock, larger sump, level indicator in a different position, and a side filler with a pipe vent. (4) Connecting rods should be changed. (5) Two plain thrusts should be fitted on front axle instead of one ball and one plain. (6) Front friction shock dampers set at 50 lbs. at the ball end.
