gerous if the main fuse is at the same time incorrectly replaced
This would occur as previously explained if the two fuse holders
are interchangeable, which apparently they should not be. Fig.
2 would be safe against burning out the dynamo in either of
these contingencies.

(5) A second disadvantage of Fig. 2 is that with
dynamo stopped and sticking cutout, although the battery
armature current is (or should be) cut off by the fuse, the
field of the dynamo remains on the battery and the battery
will, if left on, be disc-harged in time, though at a slower
rate.

Taking all these points into consideration,
I should very much like to have your view as to which is the
better alround arrangement.
