R.R. 348A (100 H) (P 555. 11.10.10) E.P. 7669. DEPARTMENTAL MEMO. X507 Issued Nov. 2nd 1910. This column is for Name of Person addressed. DATE. Mr Barrington. 2/11/10. AW15/G21110. Will you please obtain Mr Royce's advise on the following point which has been raised by Mr Hallam. "We are having a lot of trouble with cars which are down on the off side. This we find due to customers carrying excessive weight of 1 1/2 cwt to 2 cwt on this side. We have a case in point which is very bad and very urgent." Cdu. Mr Wormald. 4.11.10 Assuming that this excess weight must be carried on one side, and cannot be distributed, Mr Royce is of the opinion that heavier Springs should be fitted on this side. This has, I believe, been tried but unsuccessfully. If Mr Hallam will give me particulars of the present Springing & of the unequal distribution of weight, I will endeavour to give him the necessary information.
