Bailey - Chief Engineer} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG23. 9.24. RAPSON X1238 X4050 Re. TYRES. We attach a chart shewing the life of tyres during the tests in connection with 4-wheel brakes in France. The Rapson Tyre Co. loaned to us some tyres for test. It will be seen that the average mileage is approximately the same as the Dunlop. The riding with the Rapson tyres is distinctly more hard than with the Dunlop owing to the fact that the walls of the tyres are thicker. We ran the Rapson tyres with 5 lbs. less pressure than the Dunlops. Steering wobbles were more pronounced with the Rapson tyres fitted. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
