Re Car for Hendon
Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG25.6.28

I have arranged a private lock-up at the Mews behind 61,Eaton Place (the house of Mrs.Maude - Col.Harker's Mother-in-Law), for 14-EX to be kept in during Friday night and until Dodd requires it.

I think the best arrangement perhaps, will be to arrange for one of our men to meet Dodd on the outskirts of London with the Open Trials car and let them change cars there, to save Dodd the trouble of finding the Mews. Then Dodd can go on to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town and our man can take 14-EX to Eaton Place Mews. And after the Pageant our man could be at the same rendezvous with 14-EX and again change over the cars, thus saving going out of the way to the Mews.

It now becomes a point as to wheter where to make a rendezvous which will be suitable for both changeovers. Perhaps you will ask Dodd so that he may name a place that he is well acquainted with, and we will arrange to have the car there. We would suggest Hyde Park, between Marble Arch and Lancaster Gate, which is a fairly quiet part of the Park.

Will you please let me know what you wish arranged and the time that Dodd will arrive there; also the approximate time he expects to be there after the Pageant.

C.
