Dear Sirs, For the kind attention of Mr. J.C. Bowering We thank you for your letter of the 8th instant and are extremely sorry that we have not fitted an experimental Stevenson Jacking System to the Bentley Chassis. As a matter of fact the only way that we could fit this Car in its finished condition was by utilising a Square Section Molybdenum Tubing. We ordered this immediately on our return from Derby and while the suppliers have made promises they have failed to give delivery. On the telephone this morning they state that we can rely on receiving this first thing Monday morning and we therefore anticipate being in a position to carry out this work next Thursday. Regretting the delay and assuring you of our careful attention at all times, We are, Yours faithfully, FOR BRITISH TOOL & ENGINEERING CO.LTD. Walter B. Evans Director. | ||
