-4- Summary. We have exact knowledge of what windage reduction means and how it can be achieved. If we don't use this knowledge now we shall be forced into doing so sooner or later by our competitors. The subject is just being publicised (Pomeroy's article Jan 25/38 The Motor). We attach a copy of various illustrations extracted from the report on the 1937 Salon Coachwork. La{L. A. Archer} Vie Automobile Nov.10/37 which, though somewhat extreme, illustrates that the French coachbuilders have fully appreciated the advantage they have over the quantity produced body in keeping pace with streamline developments. We recommend that we should encourage Gr.{George Ratcliffe} to complete his "Paulin" body on Bentley II, ensure that we get accurate figures of its performance, and if these approach the wind tunnel results, and the body is considered to be practical, collaborate with M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Paulin to have a similar type of 4-door body available on Bentley III, ensuring that this shall not sacrifice comfort and convenience.
