Y3499. To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} c.cho BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} F.H. ELLIOTT. [crossed out] [STAMP: 16 DEC 1930] ROY{Sir Henry Royce}3/MG15.12.30 -------------------- "Smithermets" for operating Radiator Shutters on PHANTOM II Chassis, both R.H and L.H I am afraid unless we have a very early decision on this matter we shall be holding up the Shops in output. They are now pushing ahead, as you probably know, as quickly as possible at the rate of 4 per week for which the necessary instruments are wanted immediately, and we have no Smithermets whatever released for same. You had a sample instrument on Saturday (13th) with the modified filling known as "H", which I understand conforms to the latest known requirements in the Experimental Shop. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
