Re DUNLOP TYRES.

With reference to ROY{Sir Henry Royce}1/MG31.10.34,
I shall be glad to hear whether Dunlops have yet worked up to 100% on this new "90" tyre, because they have a big publicity campaign in hand and if we have much stock of the others I am afraid we shall have some difficulty in getting rid of them. I shall be glad if you will please let me know just what the position is.

I note they are making heavy claims from the point of view of non-skidding. You will remember that although the Experimental Department had these under observation for some months they had had very little opportunity as it happened, of testing them under skidding conditions when we agreed to adopt this type of tyre in November last.

I shall be interested to hear whether they have been able to try them since, and whether they are really something extraordinary from the point of view of non-skidding.

C.
