We wrote to you some time ago with regard to getting permission for Lovesey to use his aeroplane when convenient for visiting aerodromes and contractors.
Lovesey's case is that he uses his aeroplane in the same manner as other officials use their cars. The fact that we restrict him using his aeroplane in Co's business does not reduce his enthusiasm for flying. At present he is on a visit to Hawkers and has gone down by road. Immediately after 12.0 o'clock tomorrow he will be flying down to Brooklands again for his own pleasure.

His insurance for the machine covers him for third party and damage to the machine both for pleasure and business.

Lov.{Mr Lovesey} also states that he believes Mr.Burt of the car inspection staff uses his aeroplane occasionally when on firm's business.

We strongly recommend that, as long as we are satisfied that Lov.{Mr Lovesey} is covered by insurance, and that he agrees that he will make no claims on the Company, he should be allowed to use his aeroplane on a mileage basis.

I want you to agree to it, because it is an enormous help. In half a day it is possible to go to Brooklands and Farnboro', which otherwise takes almost two days.
