We send you herewith drawing NO.LeC.1565 shewing how Mr. Royce would like the brake lever handle modified to prevent any noise developing due to the button rattling, also to arrange for a better construction of the handle. The black bakelite moulding is in this design formed on a short piece of tubing separate from the lever, and afterwards screwed into position. This has the advantage that one piece only is used to hold in the button and to provide flanges for the bakelite instead of 3 pieces. The bottom end of the push rod is simplified by being left absolutely plain but case hardened where it bears on the rocker lever. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
