The transverse ties from the second chassis member to the body crossmember in the boot are shown. This crossmember should be plated with steel and have the distance pieces built in position.
The boot floor is to be of sheet steel SWg20. (.048") with inspection holes and longitudinal rails as drawn on LeC 4382. Swaging is provided in the line of the load.

3. We approved the design of the outside door hinges for trial on this car. The hinges should have lubricators and be bolted to the pillar.

4. We agree to a light gauge metal panel being placed under the normal aluminium panel between the roof rail and the car rail, and the transverse ties, as well as being screwed to any other wooden members.
It will be necessary to put greased paper or some other suitable material between the wood and the steel, and the steel and the outer aluminium panel.

5. The front pillar to be panelled in light gauge steel under the aluminium, and to extend into gussets along the cantrail and screen rail at the top. At the waist line it should extend into a gusset along the lower screen rail, and also down to the bottom side.

6. It is desired to make this body suitable for both the ordinary side Brake Lever and the Pull-up type lever, and we have already given you an advance tracing of the matter. We now send N.Sch.4390, the finished scheme. This shows how the runner has to be cut away, and the shape of the seat in plan. The gear lever has been shortened and the knob moved back.
