B.50 Induction Pipes.

Designs are now available for the above engine and the induction system is shown on PD.114.

In order that we may find by experiment the most suitable arrangement of carburettors and induction pipe, it is suggested that a development pipe should be produced on the following lines.

(a) Made in brass, to build up in sections as we did for Wraith on SCD.69.

(b) Three centre sections to be available, one for single downdraught, one for dual downdraught, and one suitable for centre section of a B.III induction pipe.

(c) Flanges with suitable blanks for two single down - draught carbs. in the same positions as B.III carbs.

(d) The pipe to have buffer ends as B.III with main bore of pipe 1.750.

Certain patterns already in existance might come in again, if borne in mind when laying out the above.
